I see some straw peeking out the bottom of the tailgate. More reliable than an Audi - you don't say...

The IH is spectacular. Fresh restorations always and forever. The seats are a nice touch.

Indeed. My wife and I are in Provincetown for a couple of weeks and this was parked at one of the many beaches we've visited so far.

Unfortunately it looks like I'm gonna be on the hunt for new wheels right away. Wednesday a guy tried to make his left turn right in front of me and my absolutely spotless little 92 Toyota Pickup (1-owner [I even have the window sticker], not a SPOT of rust anywhere underneath) is gonna be a total loss. :-( First time I've ever been in a wreck, aside from being a little sore I am really just super pissed about my little truck because it was a true survivor.

If I was looking for a good car that is fun to drive and also practical to carry a bike inside (or outside in case of a pickup) what would you guys recommend ?

    VW GTI or Golf R.

You're probably more of a Golf R guy and being tall, the lack of a sunroof is a huge positive of that car. I've read and seen nothing but positives about the current Golf R.

The Golf is a very small car to throw a big bike in it.

Hum, not sure how practical this car is I suspect the transmission tunnel gets in the way of things in the back.

Well, it’s not bad with the seat down but look at the SQ5 from Audi. Bigger. Faster. Hatchback.

Very high doofus factor (no offense to Doofus here) driving these days. Just this morning we watched a Chrysler mini-van attempt a double-line pass of a tractor + mower right into the oncoming path of a lumber truck at which time the Chrysler went off the road left and into a corn field. Very lucky for everyone.

But seems like just another day driving, you know? Now that I drive to and from NYC, I see all kinds of crazy sh*t going on. People are just $#^%&*@ in the head.

Glad you are okay but sad about your Toyota. The new ones just aren't the same.

Frame is solid, damage isn't terribly bad and can be fixed. I'm leaning towards buying it back and parking it while I rebuild it. Will still need to buy a new set of wheels, thinking about a Fiesta which seems like a terrible idea when the Fit/Corolla/etc are much better vehicles...but I needs something cheap and my affinity for WRC has left its mark on me I guess. *rolls eyes*

Phew. I had a 86 4WD, drove the wheels off it. There was so much rust my neighbors shamed me into give it to GoodWill. Bought it off a transplant team nurse who was hiding it from repo and a bad relationship LOL.
Glad you are going to fix it.
