How about a Jetta 2016 Hybrid? Any owners out there care to chime in on pros/cons?

So drive the AM to VT, then hop in the truck?

I suspect parking the AM there will affect this status.

Been seeing articles mentioning that TDI owners are stripping their cars down to a ridiculous degree before handing them back to VW. Some of it makes me laugh, but some seems a little too, “I’m an aggrieved party and I’m doing this because I can” kinda thing.

That said, when the time comes, I’ll be keeping anything that might be useful in our other cars- floor mats, etc. I want to do some research on whether I can swap the VW stereo into my 4Runner for its CD/tape deck. That would be a nice upgrade.

as part of an ongoing (and possibly expanding) midlife crisis, i decided a new wilderness property for the fam to bond at in southern VT required a proper Bro Truck, with an attendant totally logical fixation on the 7.3 power stroke. yes, there's a very robust internet forum dedicated to that engine. and yes, i did put in the performance chip to modulate boost and fuel flow etc. at top setting this is going to be a completely idiotic burnout machine.

here's the new old girl on her way to getting a little mechanical once over, a 2" lift, and of course the al czervik caddy shack air horn installed. haters of full sized SUVs, you aint seen shit yet. ROLL COAL!

You definitely need a plow hydraulic on the front with in-cab controls. A bunch of sand in the back and a big blade on the front with lights. Show the snow no mercy. And a Brush Hog tow behind. Get started on your CX course.

the plan ain't even about skiing, it's about getting the f@!# out of fairfield county to rural emptiness. meadows, woods, ponds, streams, animals, gas powered stupidity, rope swings, campfires, stars, cooking, just being and being together far enough away that the real world can't intrude. there's like zero cell service, i'm going to have to get satellite internet, we are near hermitage as the crow flies but real far away culturally.

Nice. 4 of the 5 people I met this weekend at another southern VT ski town were from Fairfield County. The other one was from Westchester. Ha.

That chip in the 7.3 isn't going to do you any good when the #2 in your tank turns to petro-aspic.

The world needs more car-based station wagons. Volvo pictured above is attractive.
Wonder how their overall quality will be under Geely Automobile management?
