Out of all the hot Speedvagens on here, that's my favourite.

    Love the alloy cranks.

I'd probably phrase it different today - but the Titan IPA may have been talking. I could have just as well been talking about my female miniature schnauzer. She is rad looking too. Rad meaning "excellent; impressive", or course, not politically radical.

I think my Igleheart 953 650B SS was a visually proper bike. I think all of my bikes fit into this category, but I liked the simplicity of this one.

The back end rides like a semi, but this is nothing but proper. 120mm stem, no additional spacers. It's a 55cm and I love it although it doesn't get out much anymore. Yes, I ride with a saddle bag as tying a tubular to the bottom of your seat is stupid (although I did this 20 years ago) without protection from the elements. It looks cleaner and why the hell would I want a tire sticking out of my back pocket or in a wonky cut off water bottle? Get over it ;)

Bottom bracket says 61. I like it because it has buffalo nickels in the fork crown. And it rides like it should. Handlebars are not as whacked as they look here. More levelish. Not sure if they curse the bike here though. And those aren't spacers, that's an old Galli roller bearing headset. Still smooth.

love that headset, but its bulbousness is ruining your chances of pulling off the slammed quill adapter

bars with ergo bends like that are always wack, and yes they curse the bike there

also the saddle is also about 5cm too far forward to ever possibly be "visually proper"

everything else is great though, the combo of the black rims with silver brake track and black rings with silver teeth works well

it can be fixed pretty simply:

get a traditional single-bolt seatpost, an old fluted campagnolo super record would be best but even a nicer kalloy would do the job right (VO sells good ones in a bunch of sizes)

put a silver traditional quill stem on it, just about any old cinelli / 3ttt or new nitto would work great

swap out the handlebars for cinelli 64 or deda 215 shallow or 3ttt TdF
