it stuns me that this thread lives on.
When power comes back I'll check in, 152.2 this am reading by flashlight. My willpower is slipping dealing with Irene, broke down and got Ben & Jerry's last night! I'm glad this thread is still living on, just shows how many of us would like to lose some weight.
188.76 and 30.8% fat according to my scale. That's after dinner and a glass of wine.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade and go on a juice fast? I'm actually sort of pleased we've taken a thread that went in a silly direction and turned it into a vehicle for supporting folks (and holding them accountable) in achieving their ideal Michael Rasmussen-like physiques!
A few questions:
Maybe it is my Tanita scale, but it seems to me that my weight varies a bit during the day and my body fat % is all over the map.
My plan is look at this every few days and look at progress over the next few months. At 1-2 pounds a week, it will take a while to drop 10-13 lbs
finally got power back last night…153.6 / 8.4…time to get back into it and get a good ride in today and check out the roads around here
175.6/12.5
I still haven't bought my new scale but I did get my wife to take a picture.
152.4 / 7.9
170.0.
Lost 8 lbs in 3 days: D2R2 + a bout with food poisoning (not from D2R2 I now suspect) the Saturday night afterwards. After consulting webmd I should gone to the hospital for dehydration. Driving in the remants of hurricane that Sunday I felt I was in a weird version on "The rhyme of the ancient mariner".... "Water water and not a drop to hold down."
6'1 175 and gaining
153 / 7.8 ……. having a hard time dealing with an injury, no patience to rest and let it heal, went out during the hurricane on the mtn bike and crashed, fell on top of the bike with my rib cage and then tried to keep doing core stuff over this past week…I think it's called being older and dumber!
I've been proud of dropping eight pounds in the last four weeks, from 162.2 lbs down to 154 lbs this morning.
Then I met Dede Demet-Barry and Michael Barry Jr. this morning.
Those two bring a whole new meaning to the word "lean". Highly decorated and Olympic medalist Dede has been retired for years, but she still has that razor sharp, warrior look - extremely lean body, efficient muscles and you know she'll kick your ass on the next training ride. Michael is taller than the Schleck brothers, and is virtually in the same weight range as Andy. Amazing.
I'm going to throw my weight around here.
Today I'm 164. I'll get a new scale soon so I can report body fat too. It won't be pretty.
