The 'weird lines in back' are the only interesting thing about it. It's an oversized new truck. Hideous is the default setting.
New one looks like a rebadged Toyota, and that's not a compliment.

New one is way worse looking. I had some new car fever a few weeks ago. I priced out a WRX at $39K. WTF?

There's your problem. You probably added floor mats, too.

    39K!

Wife and I were talking. I seriously don't understand the car market. People must just finance to the hilt.

Oh my, what a year you could have. I'd drive around the earth. From one Aston dealer to the next.

Any car company that has "ludicrous speed" as a feature is alright by me.

We own 3 cars now, because I am loathe to sell our TDI wagon at a low point.
It’s still a great car, but too small for our needs- getting a little grumpy about how long this is dragging on- if they do a buyback, I am going to have to think about doing a 2 for 1 and getting a nice, larger wagon, probably Volvo or an older Benz.

I can’t believe how long this is taking.

I try to drive through the MD's parking area periodically. Spotted this the other day. I don't know much about them other than they cost a bundle and look really nice.

I saw an Aston Martin Rapide yesterday. That was a first.

I basically stole this car over the wknd. I couldn't resist. Nxt steps: charcoal Sheepskin seat covers and possibly some oriental rug floormats. What the hell.

Rode in lots of old MBs in my life, not much in the big ones. But they seem cool.

Small victories. Having been laid up with an injury and off the bike for a month, I turned some wrenches. I generally turn zero wrenches on cars, including on the oil plug. But it was 70 degrees on Saturday, my snow tires were still on the car, and the inconvenient local tire shop charged me $70 to screw the snow tires on last fall. So I pulled out the emergency jack and tire iron, and got the job done.

A big@ss torque wrench showed up last night, and I was able to confirm that nothing is loosening up or otherwise going to fly off. Win.

Now I need to get a proper floor jack and and some jack stands to make this whole thing easier and undangerous.

New car day! While I loved the Taco, I made some rookie mistakes with the first truck. I like a 2 door, but I should have gotten the extended cab, I also should have gotten the 6 cyl.

    I corrected that. A Wily's Wheeler.
