Sunday supper - mirepoix, deglaze with white wine, top up with broth and throw in some homemade cavatelli. Finish with some arugula flowers and call it dinner.

Haha! Far from it (dough is flour, salt, sparkling water and olive oil) - but fat-adaptation can also be achieved through carb-cycling (still working on that post)..

Two can play at that game...

    Pre-cook

    Soak

    Chop

    Reduce

    Assemble

Add a touch of fresh grated parm and you are ready to eat...

That arugula/salmon dish looks too healthy Jacob.

It was so nice outside that we just had to grille. We have grilled chicken marinated in olive oil, red wine vinegar, salt, pepper and garlic accompanied with some grilled vegetables and potatoes. Topped off with a chilled Australian Riesling.

Well, here's the rundown. Baked ham glazed with a dijon mustard, orange marmelade, red vinegar, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Marinated, grilled lamb kabobs, baked salmon and grilled Polish kielbasa. Plenty of fresh greens and blanched asparagus. Topped off with too many desserts to name, including a slew of homemade cookies and rice pudding. The weather cooperated too so the outdoor dining was open, as 22 in laws in one confined space can be tough.

A little late to the game. Was in charge of a veggie for Easter.

Asparagus, peas, fennel with Pecorino Roman salad. (cold)

    Thin sliced Fennel and Asparagus,
Par boil veggies, Ice Bath to hold color.
    Grate Pecorino Romano
Zest and juice 2 Meyor lemons.

    Delicious and so clean!

Our middle kid, oldest son, finished his third year of college yesterday and he's home for a week between school and his Summer job. In a rather short time, his Mother is spoiling the crap out of him with doing the laundry, making breakfast, you name it. I of course, had to grille his favorite meal (Pork loin) this evening and you can tell by the photo, a side dish of hash browns made the menu. Go figure.
