I spent the morning in Hilo and got shook up by a couple earthquakes.
Am (im)patiently awaiting delivery of a new frameset today
My daughter moves back to town this weekend.
GO!
I say screw the flu. Back on the bike tomorrow.
Looking forward to a big ride with my buddy Houston tomorrow
Did an awesome hike with the family today. Well, my wife hiked. My son rode on my back like I was a donkey. But it was awesome.
21 days until we sell our house and de-camp to the country...
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk
Got to hike in the woods with my two dogs, led by my kid who I once carried on my back through the woods.

Nothing major, but time to bump this to the top. I've stumbled into accidental form - JRA the last couple of months with no plans or goals, but all of a sudden I'm strong and fast. Will honor and maintain it with more attention to training and diet as cross season starts to sneak up. Also, taking three day weekend with no agenda just to hang out with my sweetie, sleep in, finish a good book, soak up the sun, etc. La dolce far niente.

Caps and gowns are the preferred attire at the RW homestead these days. We had a college graduation a few weeks ago, we have a graduate school graduation this evening and a high school graduation this coming Sunday afternoon. When the dust settles and we finish moving all three kids to different places later this Summer, I might just kick back, have a beer and head to Italy for a few weeks with Mrs. RW.

hey, how lucky can one man get.
The state of Florida has an agency called AHCA that approves all new construction before they can be occupied. After 6 visits over 6 weeks they gave us their final approval today. We were literally working last night at 10:30 to finish up last minute items. They just left and we have a CO in hand. I wasn’t sure last week if we could get there. Patients are scheduled or move in next week.
Sleep this weekend!!

The project is called The Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavillion. It is an 8 story women’s and children’s tower with Pediatrics, peds ICU, NICU, 8 OR’s and post and pre natal rooms. The Jenkins family are the founders of Publix and live in Lakeland. They are most benevolent with their money.
]total construction time was 33 months and we will probably have another few months of work after they move in with owner changes.

Let's see...
I'm getting stronger and faster. I put down a deposit for my first ever made-for-me road bike. There's track racing tonight. Someone sent me a job posting that is practically tailor made for me. I don't particularly need or want a new job, but what the heck. Why not?
Life is just generally good!
Well ok...
Today my Direct TV box turned off twice because I haven't changed the channel in 4 hours X2. Hey, it's Ancient Alien Friday, I only need one channel today.
Tomorrow I take my son to another US Naval Academy send off gathering. This one at the Southwest Airlines headquarters in Dallas. He reports on 6/28 to start his freshman year.
Yesterday I got an official job offer from a company south of Austin. It wasn't a satisfactory offer but that's what negotiation is for.
On Sunday, I'm flying off to Las Vegas and driving to Kingman, AZ to do a job interview there. Kind of isolated, but I like the high desert and it's an excuse to buy a MTB. Garro is only 2 hours away, maybe another Coconino.
