I have an iPad Pro 12.9 gen 2 and it is great. The only downside is the lack of a real file system.

This is how I see it as well. The main thing is the physical keyboard and yesterday I went to the Apple store and the keyboard cover they're marketing with the iPad Pro seems pretty usable. I'm probably going this direction, in the larger size. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the price. It's a premium product but with a premium price as well.

My wife is using an iPad Pro “grande” with one of those new keyboards. She gives it A+ for usability when you are using it, but a C when you aren’t using it because it just folds underneath and then you are setting the keyboard down on a table top face down or gripping the keyboard surface while using the touch screen only. Not optimal. As a result, she now carries the keyboard case and a non-keyboard case with her on business trips. If the keyboard could either fold or be clipped to the back of the iPad with keys facing the back of the iPad that would be more satisfactory.

I just use the non-keyboard cover now, and use this to carry a Magic Keyboard.
