Durability will be key, but I'm very intrigued. I'd much rather wear a mushroom on my feet, considering everything involved E2E in turning a cow's skin into boots.

There's a company that turns pineapple leaves into leather-like substances, too. Hugo Boss in fact makes a shoe in this fabric.
