Default Switching over to Lightroom CC Any good Presets?

I had decided to switch from apeture to lightroom cc for my photog stuff. I searching around for some pretty good preset packages for landscapes. Any suggestions?

Try the Skylum Creative Kit (formerly Macphun). I purchased it last year and have been having fun with some of the presets for landscapes.

Here's an untouched sample image and the final result after using one of the presets:

I switched to LR from Aperture a couple years ago and it was a good move. Recent updates have sped it up a bit too.

I have a couple of the VSCO packs but they’re almost overkill in the number of variations on each preset you get. The cheaper RNI preset set looks like a good middle ground and side by side comparisons I’ve seen of it and VSCO tend to favor RNI.

Whatever you choose, it’s really worth spending time to find your preferred vendor-made preset then tweaking it to your own needs and preferences. For instance, I have my own recipe B&W preset that was based off one of the film presets but took the grain out and made a couple other minor changes. It also has the CA and lens correction built in, for the pics I take with my camera that doesn’t have that already built into its in-camera software.

There's already enough Thomas Kinkade in the world, why try to make more?

Every time I see someone using pre-sets I immediately see the pre-set, not the photo - Haloing (from too much clarity use), loss of details in highlights + shadows, over saturation, etc. At best, pre-sets allow you to take your photos and edit them to ensure that they become average.

You'd be better off learning to use the program, develop your own pre-sets + style and then let that style evolve over time. This is basically the same advice that was given to me when I was in school for photography and the save advice I passed on to my students for the 10 years I taught.

I use VSCO but they have an app now so you don't need Lightroom for it anymore...also the SnapSeed app has some good presets that can be starting points as well. Still like Lightroom but for one-offs I'm finding the apps are easier to use.

I don't know but I think I prefer the untouched more than the finished photo

The Google Pixel XL phone I'm using has in camera HDR. Very nice realistic result. I plan to play with the Affinity Photo HDR which seems to have some very nice tone mapping capabilities, but since I have had my new camera there hasn't been a time out with over about 5 stops of latitude so it wasn't worth the effort...

Presets are like women at weddings who wear too much makeup

    presets does not mean hdr.

    hdr is high dynamic range.
i combines several shots into one picture and generates very bountiful images.. if you like that.

preset is in the software so that you can perform similar operations on a group of photos.
    different presets make different adjustments.

Better than pre-caned presets is LR's ability to save the set of adjustments you make to an image and apply it to others. I forget what LR calls it but that is the trick you want to try...

The best part of Lightroom is that it is powerful enough on its own to create the looks you want without presets. And like above, you can save them and use them on other images. What I do more often than presets is take a group of photos shot at generally the same time and under the same conditions and adjust one or two until I get a look I like, then copy the settings for the adjusted image and paste it to all the rest. Then I can blast through and tweak a few things here and there based on illumination variances and so forth. Really makes adjusting a group of 30-40 (or more) photos very fast. I expect Aperture does/did the same thing. Presets to me just tend to make things all look the same, while pasting adjustments just speeds up the post-processing for images taken in the same place with similar lighting. But I also know people who use presets for fixing overblown skies or whatever to speed up the post-processing on typical errors.
