Le Creuset doing the heavy lifting while the cook enjoys some of the cheap stuff.

    It bakes killer bread too.

Easily one of my top-10 all-time kitchen implements.

It's the same process as in the oven.

Preheat grill & dutch oven to 450-500
Place dough in pan and replace lid - maintain constant temp for 30 minutes
remove lid, continue baking until golden brown, up to 15 min. (I usually pull it around 7min.)

    The recipe we use:
    3 cups white flour
    1 3/4 tsp sea salt
    1/2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 cups room temperature water
3/4 cup chopped fresh rosemary (optional)

Mix ingredients and let sit 12-24 hours, cover with towel
remove onto floured work surface and shape
    bake in pre-heated dutch oven

Nice work Jack. You don't spray water into the pot at any time?
I've done this, in my oven, it's a winner.

No. The dough is fairly wet, and the lid contains the steam while baking.

Why Does the Dutch Oven Technique Work So Well?

Doing bread on the grill is such a great idea. Makes bread in the summer suddenly possible without turning the whole house into an oven.
