Atlanta for work, Mon. - Fri. Will have an afternoon and a few evenings free. Been a few times but other than CNN and Olympic park, I've not explored much.
Any suggestions?

Churchills in Buckhead if you want a local bar that's got, um character. (There's a giant painting of Winston Churchill riddled with bullet holes from a drunken night in the 70s apparently.)
Fat Matt's Rib Shack for ribs. La Fonda for Paella.
Um, where else... tons to do in the city, still sad we moved way back when.
I have nothing to contribute to this discussion other than to say that the most beautiful sunrise I've seen, anywhere in the world, was in Atlanta when I was passing through on my way to the Bahamas. Absolutely stunning.
West end is nice. Octane is pretty good for coffee. Star provisions has a nice low key and reasonable lunch. There are more restaurants in there as well. JCT Kitchen is a great restaurant, but you may need reservations.
Antico has great pizza, Gios (chicken) is next door if you can't get in. Both are very good and have a nice atmosphere. I think they are both BYOB.
If you like college football, the hall of fame is downtown now, and I here it is well done.
The aquarium is really cool.

Why do people feel the need to list all of their bikes in their signature?
Get out of town - drive to Decatur and check out the Brick Store Pub.
Basically a Belgian pub with an exceptional list of imports (120 Belgian bottles), US micro brews, and a large tap list. See some of the Atlanta burbs and countryside on the way.

Cycling isn't a sport. It's more like a really, really expensive eating disorder. (Mr. Tom, BikeForums 2008)
