I loved it; even if his cartoonish violence doesn't appeal to me, it does make you wonder why it's oddly satisfying to laugh uncomfortably when it happens and wonder why we think that (re)vengeance is the way justice should transpire.
Excellent, will view soon!

Everyone should see Django for the Klan's hood debate if nothing else. That was damn funny! I don't think I've ever been in a theater that got so loud and rowdy with people laughing as that scene.
Willard: Well, f*** y’all. I’m going home! You know, I watched my wife work all day getting thirty bags together for you ungrateful sons of bitches and all I can hear is criticize, criticize, criticize! From now on, don’t ask me or mine for nothin’!

Jackie Brown was a great movie with a great story (thanks, Elmore) and is one of my favorites of his. But it's the only film of his that doesn't go over the top. Not necessarily a bad thing, just different. Pam Grier and Robert Forster were fantastic in Jackie Brown.

Been meaning to read Elmore Leonard. This is the Elmore of whom you speak, yes?

Right - Jackie Brown was based on "Rum Punch" which is an excellent read. One of his best novels, atmo. If you enjoy mysteries his books are usually worth picking up.

I saw Hateful right after I saw The Force Awakens.
Great movies both but Bad Move
That was five and a half hours straight sitting on my a$$ with my wife. Our butts got tired. Which was distracting.

I liked the Revenant the first time I saw it:
A man in the Wilderness, 1971 starring Richard Harris. Not to be confused with A man called Horse, starring Richard Harris. Both Classics.
I think Tom Hardy stole the show from Leo.

Hateful Eight is on my list of things to see at our local which is showing it in 70mm.
We should have gone last Monday; apparently Tarantino, Jackson and Russell turned up to the theatre and spent half an hour talking about the film.

Yeah, that was unbelievable. I loved Mad Max, but was indifferent to his performance. This was amazeballs.

I'm so pleased to hear the good reviews on the Salon, every local review I heard was not positive.
I'll wait until I can rent or Netflix it, i'm lazy that way.

Not sure which you mean, Hateful or Revenant, but both are worth ponying up the cash for a bona fide theater ticket, unless you have a gigantor TV. Mine is frequently mistaken by guests for an old computer monitor.

My bad, I was referring to Hateful.
