would you buy a VW?

Yep, one time I ended up in a ditch at almost full cruising speed and all that happened to my GTI at the time was a bent rim. The tow truck that pulled me from the ditch caused more damage from negligence and pulling from the axle shaft tore the CV boot.


I want a VW for my next car but I doubt it will be in the budget because we will be looking for a full sized rig of some sort.

The Feds could hit VW with $18 billion in fines. I'm really interested in purchasing $VLKAY once that happens.

As far as one of their autos: Too many people I know have been burned by VW (Passat, Golf, Beetle--new/old + new/new--, Touareg) before this debacle ever came out. There's no way I'd purchase any of their products. They sure look pretty though.
