I am 3 weeks behind submitting certified payrolls for a military job because we have 4 onsite people who can't get their damn stories straight. I have wasted an excessive amount of time fixing fuck ups.

Thanks for the well wishes. 21 screws and two plates later, the reality is sinking in. 12-16 weeks non weight bearing is 12-16 weeks unable to provide ANY childcare beyond feeding. No picking up and carrying around a baby anywhere...ever.
I'll be lucky if I see the bike in December. Until then it seems like a good time to switch from 10 to 11 speed.

My new job is sucking my will to live.
The place fired my predecessor (Director level) 2 years ago, promoted a junior level person to Manager (who had no experience managing people or the necessary technical knowledge), that person left after a few months for a different role in a difference industry, then they expected the most junior person with even less technical knowledge to fill all three roles. In the middle of all of these changes they hired a different manager with little experience who left after a few weeks but managed to break many things while she was here because she was working above her skill/knowledge set. And, they do not even have the money to fix anything.
When I moved to the area it was late in the hiring season so I had very few options (we moved because my wife found an amazing new job in the area). My employer made promises they could obviously not keep: money to fix the technical issues, money for quality staff, and they will to not repeat the past by continuing to band-aid problems. Basically, I was lied too.
Unfortunately my current industry has a very specific July 1 - June 30th calendar year so there is no hope to change it until the hiring season begins in Feb/Mar. If I leave in the middle of the year it will be a mark on my resume that I "abandoned my previous employer" no matter how messed up this place is.
Calgon, Take Me Away!
Climb-fest yesterday led to a fucked up knee on this morning's ride. Then the chain broke. Plus nasty shit going on at work. It's a Calgon kind of morning, for those who remember the commercial. I
I want someone to buy my house. Now.
GO!
My girlfriend of seven years just decided to break up with me.. It's been a struggle for a few years but I thought things were getting a bit better. Life keeps sucking.
Show it to us. Apparently, the best way to sell your house in 2 days is to have us interested in it. We just missed the third one, and I'm about to fucking rage. Our house is really cool, for someone with an entirely different life than ours. It's pretty sad that I think about moving out and getting my own place just because the house doesn't work for us.

In Before the Lock
Don't want to get into it online, but let's just say I'm grumpy and need a change of scenery.
Fn parents that drop their entitled brats off at the edge of the athletic field and then go park their car.
Make the little bastards walk with you and maybe even carry something!
My back. It was really bad for a few days with sciatic nerve pain down my left leg which has now settled in my calf which now has almost no strength and is numb on the back of that leg below the knee. I've got an MRI coming up, my PCP suspects either spinal stenosis or a disc problem since the problem comes and goes. The nearest good back doctor is more than 2 hours away (just like the nearest LBS). At least I made it through the summer and I've got some time to get treatment and heal up.

Gray paint swatches.
And joint compound. It puts the NO in renovation.
Cubs winning. Enough said on that.
Renovations. Not touching a kitchen or bathroom for a long damn time.
I need some painters and/ or tape and floaters

OK, let's give it a go.
Please come to Boston for the winter: https://www.redfin.com/MA/Dorchester...2/home/9063719
p.s. My sympathies. House buying, house selling - it's nerve-wracking. Good luck!
GO!
My wife contacted the "We Buy Ugly Houses" people earlier this week. They responded within 5 minutes. Trying to see if we can get out from under it without having to dump in a bunch of money. Bought in 2007, just before the bubble burst... Chances are it's still upside down.

I sold my Poulsbo house in 2012 when I retired from the Navy and moved to Texas. I bought it in 2007, ouch. I ate $50K in equity on that one, at least the relo company paid all the closing costs so I could list it for what I owed. Bought a much bigger house for less than half here in NE Texas.
