Last weekend our cat got pissed off at us and shit in the boys' bathtub. A lot.
Then shit in the garage 3 times.
Wait, no....4 times. In a span of 12hrs.

Had a new of Stan's Arch EX wheels laying around the shop for over a year. They had new Schwalbe Racing Ralph's on them. They may have briefly been on a bike at one point, but tires had all the nubbies still.
Didn't want to drag it out on eBay & was fine with helping someone out, I priced them much less than half off retail.
Some kid sends questions immediately, can I get them before X date because I want to run them at the big "what ever MTB festival ". He tells me he doesn't need the XD driver on the hub & he will send it back to me.
I pack up the wheels and go to various outlets to find the best deal to get it to him in time. It ends up costing 2x what I charged him in freight. I knew I wasn't getting that back, but that's OK, I can use the XD driver.
I follow up with the kid to ensure he got the wheels on time. He informs me that he's changed his mind and is now keeping the XD driver.
Douchebag is lucky enough to get a smoking deal on great wheels, pays half shipping, and returns the favor by screwing me over. I hope karma reeks havoc on this piece of shit.
I gave my daughter a tandem.
My daughter gave me a cold.
Sigh.
My back is seriously chapping my ass. I am walking around bent over forward and to the left. Had to skip riding yesterday and this morning as a result.
He's not exactly male any more. Two, count'em, two perineal urethrostomies. . He's very very small because he was a rescue and they botched it, didn't get the mother for a few crucial days and the rest of the litter died, he is the only one that hung on. Too crazy to die, I guess. Anyway, the first one didn't work because he's so small and the vet that did it never worked on a cat that small... she paid for the second herself without me saying anything at the local referral only vet. So now he's very old and has hyperthyroidism. That I think has a lot to do with it, since he was diagnosed and getting meds he drinks like a fish and pees like a racehorse. He needs to go back by next week for blood counts so maybe I push it up. Can't hurt.
The bike cage at the office has turned into a quiet showroom for thieves. 3 stolen (that I know of) in the last couple of months.
Building management fixes security issues one ... at ... a ... time. Parking management cheaped out and replaced the human attendant, who sat right in front of the bike cage and greeted me with a daily smile, with a credit card reader.
"We suggest you register your bike's serial number with Seattle PD." No, I'm going to roll my wet bike over your carpet and into my cube.

Big fancy pants hotels that have "High Speed Internet" that's as slow as molasses in winter but you can pay the upcharge for "Enhanced High Speed Internet" piss me off.
My company spends a lot of money on hotels. Making my experience here second class does not endear your brand to me for when I spend my own money. I suppose some bean counter somewhere figured out that earning more money is more important than any brand loyalty but this one bothers me. I've been at Best Westerns that have rocket like internet (for real) and most of these places that start with a Hil end with a Ton make me feel cheap.
All the rest of the ass kissing down front is meaningless if the internet is like something from 1989. I use it for my work and I'm not paying the upcharge. Why is computer infrastructure in this country so hierarchical? Don't answer.....
Been shopping for a Jeep WJ for my wife for at least 6 months. Damn people sure want a nice price for them, but they're great trucks and the reason you see so many still out on the road. Dealer said he'd fix stuff after last week's test drive, so he said he did and I went back up 2hrs round trip today and nothing had been done - or at least not all of it. My offer just went way down, but I still want this one so bad.
Car shopping sucks. Used car shopping is even sucksier. I did get 7 years use out of a van I paid $5,500 for so I shouldn't be too upset. Might even get $2,500 out of it when selling.
Wife's treatment for Chronic Long Term Lyme is kicking her ass. Treatment involves pulsing high dose antibiotics that when the bacteria dies, it releases toxins that exaggerate and make the symptoms worse. Good news is that her symptoms are getting worse, the bad news is the symptoms are getting worse.
It's in her brain and Nervous system so she has cognition degeneration, severe balance issues, severe fatigue and her ability to deal with stress has gone from rock solid to non existent. She has had to stop working, her employer is dicking around with approving FMLA and/or short term disability and to top it off, every few days I'm fighting the insurance company to reimburse any of the $5K/month we are spending for treatments and testing because the medical profession is still learning what this is and how to treat it....and my wife is incapable of dealing with the stress.
We are lucky enough to be able to do this battle, but it's a hard slog.
/Grump off.
Fat Freddie's Cat! Jeez, that was LONG ago...
My grump... Big project at work, 9 people working full-time on it. Lead makes ME the lone checkpoint for everything going out. Issues arise at release time, and I'm the one that figures it out, and sticks around to make sure everything goes out on time (in this wave). Supervisor gives us the back-slap and high-five. Lead's response is "LOL!" Seriously? I ask him what the heck he means by that. "Well, we didn't DO anything." Um, yeah, of course YOU didn't do fuck-all, which is normal, but those of us in the trenches did a bunch.
Ass wipe.

Sorry, I could not resist.
Wednesday night a made fried softshell, blackened Tuna, Blackened Rock, Fried Rock and a California blend of Veggies for my wife, sister and mom. All prepared on a stunning screened in porch with a fire blazing and a amazing view of the Bay. Had the camera staged to take pics but was so excited we forgot to take the Fn Pictures!
Now I have no proof and will be forced to do it all again.
I spend too much time in developing country hotels where this is the norm not the exception. On check in I always ask where the router(s) are and request a room as close as possible. In a pinch the lobbies are often the best place for a signal, do your Email and downloading there.
It's Friday, but...
A very close friend who we hadn't heard from in a several years sent my wife news that his husband died of a long battle with progressive heart disease. 39. Dang. There are not words.
It matters to real people.
Not Thursday. I know. I'm really terrible with pushups because of a bad case of Tyrannosaurus arms. I'll drink some beer instead. Seems like a fair compromise.
Went to the local Honda megadealership this morning to buy a new CR-V for the wife. One that was already on the lot*. Cash. Literally write a check to the dealership, sign some papers, trade in the old Outback, and drive away. How long does such a transaction take, you ask?
Oh, just north of !!!!!!!!!FIVE FREAKING HOURS!!!!!!!!!
Loved it when the sales manager reminded us to give him all "excellents" when we get a call from Honda USA later in the week "because anything else looks like an F to them."
Well, here's a big F U then.
*the car, that is, not the wife.
That drives me nuts...the salesman will always give some sob story that he'll get fired or lose a bonus if the customer doesn't give highest marks on the survey. If it is true, then that's f'd because no one can deliver 100% awesome day in day out, though I'm sure it's yet another sleezey car-salesman play because they know how to manipulate good and decent people for their own benefit.
fwiw I hired a car buying consultant to buy my last car - he charged a few hundred, did all the negotiating, got a ridiculous deal. Recommended.
