I am 39 years old and yet I still do not have a mailbox which is a perfect model of a Citroen H Van. I am not sure how I let this happen.

holy moly
my name is Matt
One less stupid fecking SUV. Well played sir.
I had to meet with an older gentleman today regarding an insurance issue and he asked if I could meet at his house as his wife was recovering a from recent surgery...sure, why not. We started talking cars as he had quite a few photos in his office of vintage cars and motorcycles. The next thing you know, we are having a coffee in his "shop".
Ronnie...I though of you when I spotted the Valvoline sign. There were also a couple of Auburn boat tail Speedsters in the garage and a '54 Austin Healy 100-4 stashed away under a tarp.
It's been over a year since I bought it, but today I finally got around to taking some pictures of my Alfa ('73 GTV).
A really fun car to drive.
finishing touch...thule criterium powder coated in black...i will miss my 1up rack and my bull balls hanging from the hitch
we live in a global world...a vietnamese guy building an engine in a german car for a korean dude in westchester
An acquaintance has a robins egg blue 1972 Volvo 145 for sale. Manual with overdrive. Going to check it out this weekend...
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk
Look for rust in the windshield surround. If that checks out, buy it. Best year - new style grille and small bumpers. Did 145s get D-Jet that year or were they still Stromberg carb. I do not recall. Early-stage Volvo dementia setting in. Seriously though B20/M41, that grille. Probably the very pinnacle of Swedish car making.
I think it could be an "E" or not - pretty sure it was an option. We'll find out.
Edit - is Hagerty well regarded for pricing?

Thanks. I think the asking price ($6500) is very much in the realm of "crack pipe", but I'm not coming up with much in the way of recent sales via forums, eBay, etc.

For $4500, it should look like the one I was conceived in. On the day I was conceived. I am a huge fan of these cars, but I really think $4000-4500 is the limit for a very nice driver. Maybe $5000 if it's a fuel-injected 142 or SU-carbed 142S with the black grill, black light surrounds, frenched-in fogs and the tuck-n-roll seats. For $6500, it had better be a museum piece.
This one is advertised at $4100 and would sell for $3500 easy. Volvo 145 | Värmland
Oh and double all these prices if it's a 145 Express of course.
