ICD-10 in general (plus any deadline set by CMS). Couldn't we just stay with ICD-9 (and ANSI 4010 and UB04/HCFA1500). Where are all those extra digits going to go? Like doctors are going to use the extra diag codes anyway...

Pollen. Coughing uncontrollably, throat glands periodically swelling up and hurting so bad I dread swallowing, nose with that smell you get after you smashed it and just before it bleeds. Then it starts actually bleeding. Only reason I can breathe is meds and they make me lose all filters so if I have a job by the end of this week it'll be a miracle.

Karma. I am dealing with idiots, pure and simple incompetent idiots, at work and seeing my college calculus professor in front of me going "Didn't you even look at any of the chapter? Any of it?" And what we're doing here isn't calculus, more like counting on our toes. Jesus, what goes round comes round.

My left leg is hurting in two places because I did a few odd lunges yesterday or maybe I was too heavy on the weight. I almost can't straighten it.

9 days out from last week's vasectomy and the supposedly-dissolving-stitches are working their way out, leaving some weird, itchy ends and a slight wound that I DON'T want to irritate. Plus, it's not exactly comfortable on a saddle. I'm 16 days away from the Mt. Cheaha Challenge and I can't ride, so I'm starting to question if I'm even going to go.

Oh, and my orthopod told me Wednesday that I will be a great candidate for TKR in 5 years or so, despite "getting a gold star" for doing what I'm doing to stay active and mobile. "Keep riding," he said, "you just have shitty parentage to blame."

Bah. Who knew 45 would be so much fun?

Friggin' faulty brake on my Corsacazzo. The little adjustment screw that moves the pads left or right keeps backing out, resulting in the drive side pad working it's way up against the rim. The shop tried some loctite and it all looked good in the stand. But after a short ride this morning the problem is back. I'll have to pull a brake off another bike if I want to ride this one until I can get things sorted out. Stupid brake.

I like audiobooks, I also for the most part like scifi. But it seems everything I find these days is dark or depressing. Doesn't anyone make light hearted scifi?

Up early to get the oldest to another detention. For the record, detention slips have all be handed out on Wednesdays due to dress code violations. We don't have the boys on Wednesdays.

Watched Stop at Nothing - The ** Story while on the trainer last night. I'm surprised how pissed I got. My trainer-only bibs are from 'that' shop. I felt dirty just wearing them. Nothing new. But seeing footage from various Tour stages that I remember watching, the **F auctions, the telephone recordings between Stapleton and Andreu. That's the one that really just did it for me. I liked Bill. He was always pleasant to deal with, to chat with. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. Not intimidating at all. FTS. It pisses me off that I supported that shop and have an association with it.

15 days since I've ridden a bicycle. Sleep cycle is all screwed up and I can't get out of bed in the morning to ride the trainer. Must fix next week.

Bought my kid a Camry last year. It cut down our time together by 50%. This year she's looking at Universities. University of Arkansas and Ole' Miss are top of her list, no Texas schools even in her top 5.

I've made a point to raise her strong and independent. I'm realizing that this young lady who I put so much time & effort into, is about to become a "see you at Christmas break dad" type of thing.
