It depends on at least seven other key dimensions atmo. Nothing exists in isolation.

To make it more complicated - given a current bike's geometry and the existing fork, is it possible to determine the change to handling/steering by by swapping out the fork with one that has different rake/length?

More specifics for my question. I'd like to replace the existing fork 382 crown to axle w 50mm rake with a 367 w 50mm of rake. Does lowering the bike 15mm effect the HT angle at all, or is it insignificant? I currently have 56mm of trail and would like to stay very close to that.

The difference will be quite noticeable. It is in the realm of dropping your bars that distance. BB will drop as well. The dynamics will be quite different. What is the goal with the new fork?

To replace an old, ugly and heavy carbon fork. I'm not finding any replacements in that length/rack.

Traitor Cycles has some in that length. Not sure about offset though.

Is the rest of bike carbon? If not, I guess quite a few members of this forum could make you just one you need. This is a framebuilders forum after all.
