    I am sick of doing dishes. I live alone I work from home I try to eat in as much as possible and am absolutely f'ng sick of doing dishes!!! Sometimes I'll either skip eating, order in, or go out - as opposed to doing a dish or two, it's ridiculous. My Old Man used to say: it's the little things that will kill you, the big thing take of themselves - or sumthin like that. I think I get it now.

    I grump here so I don't have to grump somewhere else. It's my safe place.

    Dishes...yep, hate doing them but the alternative also sucks. Laundry is killing me too. It was bad enough when it was just me and my wife but when you add a four-year-old and an infant into the mix there is literally not a day that goes by without at least one load of laundry in the machine. Folding laundry is the worst.

    Oh yeah, I'm no fan of foreign matter in my jelly. My in-laws were visiting and now there's peanut butter contaminating my jelly. Sometimes life is hard.

    Last year I sold my house in Grand Rapids, MI, a secret haven of very good cycling, to ease my commuting stress. Moved to Virginia Beach, not totally cycling hell but close. About 3 months later the airline announces service to GRR. Just flew to GRR and am sitting in a Chili's having a Blue Moon instead of getting paid to sit in my own house. I would have gone for a ride tonight.

    Small grump and water under the bridge at this point. I will be meeting a couple buddies though, so that's cool.

    Oh, and I ordered my 9000 group almost 3 weeks ago.........

    No transport. We stay near the airport. But I'm meeting a buddy shortly who will have Founders on tap at his house. He's got a couple keg-o-rators and they always are full of the good stuff.

    As for other houses, I know. But I'm not just upping and moving back across the country just like that. It's expensive. I'm in VA Beach until at least next Sept.

    (1) It's not fatigue. It's weakness.

    (2) I post a tech question on a listserv. First response is off list from a salesman. "We can help you!" Yeah, sure.

    (3) When I take the lane coming up to a red light with two cars stopped in front of me, I did that so you wouldn't pass me. Somebody hangs a right from that road you won't see them until they're right in front of you and you'll pull right and we all know that will end poorly for one of us. Actually my real grump is that I was able to use that as a teachable moment, explaining it to the nice gentleman without uttering one single curse but did not get to use my coda because he didn't say anything in return. I had to withhold "You f-kwit waterhead". Somehow, it just wasn't as fulfilling to me.

    Other rides (who are obviously slower than me) barging to the front of an intersection, inching just in front of me so they can be first to take off when the light turns green. Then I have to pass them 20 ft. later w/ traffic is heavy from the light opening.

    I haven't ridden in 3 days because either rain or oversleeping.

    Oh, I have more, but I'm drawing a blank because I can't think straight from being over-caffeinated.

    Had to buy a car last week as my Mini was on its last leg. Could have used that money to fund a sweet Stoemper for next spring.

    This past long weekend's trip to Illinois only allowed one opportunity to ride. The weather was beautiful the whole time.

    We returned Tuesday afternoon to the typical sucky weather of the Pacific North-wet.

    My wife's aunt (who has been battling ALS) passed away the day after we returned. Now she'll be going back (without the 14-month-old) next weekend for the funeral. So I'll have another long weekend of not being able to do anything...

    And it looks like every one in the house is fighting off colds.

    I have ridden a bike of any kind twice in the last month due to the "respiratory infection from hell" that just won't go away. It has never knocked me down like the flu, but the coughing and chest congestion have effectively killed my cyclocross season before it started, contributed to my overall crabbiness and made me sick of being sick. I managed to go for a slow ride around town on Tuesday and felt worse on Wednesday. At this rate, I can kiss the 2015 cycling season goodbye as well.

    At least it isn't Ebola.

    There are 3 young ladies I would like to see, each of which is available Sat eve. Good news you say? Take yer pick, stagger them, etc...Not so fast, I am free this Friday eve and struggling w/Sat as I intended to Sail up the coast a bit and spend the night in a small, beautiful, virtually deserted harbor. That is what I want to do, this sailing addiction is getting out of hand and I'm losing all sense of priority! The Sea is a cruel mistress my friends.

    Those who:
    Cut in line to get on the train;
    Try to board the train before others exit (applies to elevators, too);
    When standing in the door, don't step off the train to get the heck out of the way of everyone getting off.

    Above all, whoever designed BART train cars to maximally incentivize the aforementioned behaviors.

    Transplants. All regular commuters used to know how to do it. Drive as well.
