If your hospital bill arrives late this month, don't blame me. Our s/w development and QA teams really screwed the pooch on this release.

Not to mention the network services re-IP and tech dept's OS updates of our servers the past two weeks.

    Dislocation or separation?

Been there. Get ready for not being able to even tie your shoe laces for a while.

    How you feeling? What happened?

I'm sorry for you, fella, but it seems that you are in a car and with the safety belt on, is it ok to do so?
    Hope it all goes well

Spent 2+ hours refurbishing a Hadley hub, to discover that the manufacturer has sent a spacer that is 0.8mm shorter. WTF??? Stripped again and reused all the old parts, it actually works better like that.
Oh, and those Shimano road hydros seem ok, but their "free stroke" adjustment is -of course- completely useless as it is in their Mtb brakes, so I'll have this guy disappointed even more.

And all this comes when a very close person has to go under major surgery. Holy crap

    @catonero & corso
4th dislocation in my left over 8 yrs (picture is mirrored). have had 3 with my right as well. how it happened: i decided to try ultimate frisbee instead of rugby, and so in the last game of the season i jumped and threw my hand up to catch the disc and it dislocated out the front, and when i fell it went out the back and tore the socket and scraped up the ball's cartilage.
flew to ny to have the fix done so my parents are takin care of me atm. was in the back of their car, i wasnt driving

    i'll pretend i'm doin pushups

Sorry to hear that. Both arms? Pain must be your friend.

I had 4 dislocations (over 2 years) on my right (drunken tackle on hard top, drunken fight-yes, college years-, simply rolling over in bed, and finally, after 8 weeks of computer controlled therapy, it came out on my last set of stress test reps.)

Had what was called a Bankart repair operation in 1985 or so, stayed in ever since. And I got a nice big scar to show off.
But it took months before i could even lift my arm afterwards.

I’m sure there is a better, faster repair now. Good luck!

Riding along this morning and next thing I know I'm on the ground. A guy was pressure cleaning a sidewalk and his hose was in the street. Gray hose on gray concrete in the early morning and I didn't see it at all. I have a pretty bad bruise on my elbow/forearm, hip and I slammed my bad shoulder pretty good. The worst part is the hanger is bent on the Zank and I don't really know who I can trust around here to fix it. Pretty shitty way to start the day.

Six hours of Six Sigma 'yellow belt' training starting today. Great concept - reduce variability in manufacturing and business processes to be more efficient and eliminate error. My grump? The "customized for our company" training. So... we're starting by introducing variability to the process. Way to get off on the right foot.

Bought a new chain, cassete and chain ring for my mtb. When I finished I stood back and realized I did not check the chain length when the rear wheel is at full travel. POOP !! I had to add two links back to a new chain. If the chain breaks this weekend, I will know why.

Sometimes I am only just smart enough to know how stupid I really am.

    This guy:

Egyptian President el-Sisi backs U.S. attacks on ISIS - Videos - CBS News

The US gives Egypt 1.5 billion a year and has been for quite some time, as part of a “peace” deal…we basically pay them to keep a peace deal with Israel (IMO, the only real friend we have over there).

And this is what we get when we ask for some help? Help to clean up their backyard? Ha ha ha, big joke Mr Pres.

Our contract specifically prohibits 5-day trips. The workaround is a 3-day trip followed by a 2-day trip. Minimum scheduled time off in base is 12 hours. We do the 3-day with two 19-hour layovers. We get 12 hours (scheduled, but reduced because we were delayed) in base and are back out again to a 22-hour layover at a place with nothing around it. I'm in that place right now.

I don't want to complain about work (I have a pretty good job when it's all said and done) but I wish we worked productive trips. Sitting in hotels like the Springfield Suites in PIT near a Walmart and a Target is not my idea of a good time.

If you're going to have me away from home, please work me and don't sit me in a hotel doing nothing.

Blew up my crank over the weekend. I'll miss the Dura-Ace shine. Got a great deal on the Rival replacement, but I didn't need the added expense.

Having to borrow BB taps and facers, and headset reamer/facer... The bonus was getting to use some GOOD tools (old Campy stuff that'll last forever).

The rain is back with a vengeance.
