I'd like to not have to fight with tubeless mtb or cx set ups every. single. time.
Mango components.
Yet another day of my first meeting starting at 5:30am and my last meeting ending at 7:30pm. I'm so tired I may go to bed without eating dinner.

Please ride your bike now, regardless of conditions.
Thanks much,

As of last Friday, my chance of ever having relations with Ellen Page fell from infinitesimal to zero.
Last Thursday I was riding my bike in the desert, followed by the hot springs and beer drinking.
This Thursday I am not.
That thing you're asking me for? You'd already have it if you'd quit fucking calling my phone and checking on it.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.
The tumbler has been running 18hrs a day all week and it's starting to make my head hurt. Nothing a little bourbon can't cure.
Yeah, I know it's Friday. I'll do my 20 twice in penance.
My main grump is that I was so fecking busy yesterday I didn't even have time to post a grump. Going back to work will be a vacation.
My dad is in his last days. Parkinson's has robbed him of the ability to swallow. The final decision was to not put in a feeding tube, so he's riding out his final days under pain killers and nothing else. I'll be receiving his ashes to scatter in a meaningful place (I have a few in mind already).
Wife's brother and his family are coming to visit in less than a week. That'll be most of next week's grump as well. This week it's that I have to get everything ready on top of all the every day stuff, taking care of my 6-month-old, trying to work from home part time, ride in the wee hours of the night (trainer time...), and maybe get a few minutes to do a minor building task done each day.

Turning 50. (It's not the number, it's the unexpected psychic baggage.)
Yeah, I know it's Friday. Not doing any pushups. Josh, I'll buy you a beer at NAHBS instead.
killing idols one at a time
Hey, it's Thursday. Well, actually a continuation of my Wednesday.
For the second night this week, I'm up burning the midnight oil to save an incompetent co-worker's ass. At least this time I don't have to expend all the energy to tell him what he needs to fix, only to have him fix half of it. My boss just asked me to fix it myself. Quicker, and at least I know it'll be done.
Monday night was up 'til 2:30 am, about the time my daughter got up for her first night-time feeding. Tonight... well, I don't know. I'm not quite done yet. And my infant daughter hasn't woken up yet.
Oh, but I also get to rise-and-shine to take the 13-year-old to school at 6:30...
I'm hoping Karma is paying attention.

I've got a new ducati in the garage and the streets between my home and office are wet with more rain on the way. I'm so wanting to moto in today.
1st world grumps, I know.
6:30 am conference calls. If I am going to get up that early, I'd rather it be to get on the bike.
An unknown functionary in my company who has an important question for me, doesn't come to me for the answer, but goes outside the organization instead.
I completely janked my shoulder lifting weights, it's killing me. Skiing this wknd is questionable which just freaking sucks.
you're not the lord of the flies
I have a cough that has lingered since October. Lately I have been coughing so much, I haven't been able to sleep, and I've been keeping my wife awake. I finally went to the doctor and she said you have a chronic cough brought on by draining sinuses. There was a plane flight in October I took while congested, and it took a week to recover from the cabin pressure afterwards. My sinuses evidently never cleared. I am taking a cough suppressant, a decongestant, and an antihistamine. Strangely I can ride and breathe. Nothing in my lungs. My nose isn't really congested. The stuff comes out of the center of my head, drains down the back of my throat and I cough. It does this constantly. The drugs give me a break from the coughing, but the doctor says it will take a while for everything to recover. I really wish I could remove my head and wash it out under the spigot. Or maybe a long bottle brush. Paint thinner. Flame thrower.
Colleagues who think they are my boss.
I understand you have a problem that needs my attention. Please understand that you're part of a large group in the same boat.
