.
Once upon a time, I clung to minutia. The small details still
matter to me, but not as much as they did in the last century.

Huntsman SS in the works
New tool in use. Holding seat stays to tack them is no longer a PITA.

Here are a few from this week...
This coupler frame is for a gent in Alaska. His last coupler was stolen on its way back from Italy...his cargo box showed up with no bike inside. He has dubbed this one "The Sicilian"

Re: Friday PicFest No.249
Building a good base for color takes time. They need rest as much as me. PITA to paint rims attached to 32 spoke hubs with track sew ups glued on, but I accommodate if I can. Way less than a six month wait here in Indiana, good time to think about paint.
Spent the evening totally reorganizing the shop, paint cabinet and everything. Staying organized in 12'x16' is a challenge.

Repeat customers are a huge part of my business, in fact I have been surprised how many people keep coming back. This is the third bike for this customer. He trusts me now. With a budget and two colours selected he gave me free reign in this OllO#2.

I took over an old body shop last March. It's a huge space and there is always lots to do. Sounds similar to others here, work, organize, clean, work.

I also decided with so much free time to start another business with my GF Suzanne. These bicycle history brooches are just a few of the things we're working on. Lazer cut stainless. She's doing the polishing on silver soldering the pin backs.

I'll try to resurrect my SO thread with more info on all these things.

I assume double posting will cost me big time but I forgot the best part. Lube for all occasions.

Re: Friday PicFest No.249
Decided to refurbish my curing oven. Turned into a total rebuild.
004.jpg
Detail of insulation: R 2.0 Rockwool then layers of foil backed EPS.
006.jpg
Silicone wiring for heater element and fan, to be connected to PID controller tomorrow.

When I finish I'll post a "DIY Curing Oven" thread.
