What wasn't mentioned was that if your current policy has one tiny provision that doesn't comply with ACA, your provider has the option to cancel the policy outright rather than changing it to comply. Well, my insurer decided to cancel my policy. Awesome. They've sent 3 letters in the last month saying they'll be sending my options for next year. Still no letter. And, even more awesomer, based on the online calculators, my premium will stay roughly the same, but my annual out of pocket max will go from $3k to $12k. So, I'm basically paying double my current policy for a policy that I'm not able to buy. ?????. What a colossal, unbelievable, embarrassing goatfuck this whole thing is.
