Amazing how happy you can be when money isn't an issue....

Re: The Geography of Happiness According to 10 Million Tweets
My sister lives in Maine. Believe me, there isn't a whole lot of money up there. It's not clear to me why they're so happy. I'll have to ask her about it.

Re: The Geography of Happiness According to 10 Million Tweets
I just got back from staying with my cousin in Boulder. I live in the Minneapolis suburbs. Not the same. There is a shit pile of money out there in general that you would only find in select areas here. Not to mention the ten mile climbs right out of the door starting at over 5000 feet. Really glad I didn't bring a bike on this trip or I would have crashed their average.

Fascinating. Apparently I live in one of the happiest cities but I never would have guessed it.

My parents always told me that money doesn't buy happiness, and that's true. What they never told me is that it can be pretty tough to be happy without any money. Not impossible, but tough.

Re: The Geography of Happiness According to 10 Million Tweets
There was a very wealthy guy giving a talk (I've met him, been to his house and all that, so he's real) that liked to say to people who told him that money didn't buy happiness: How do you know?
