Anyone know where I could find a 1 1/4" headtube reamer? There seems to be nothing available that I can find anywhere. Or anyone have access to one that I could buy or borrow or steal? I need it for a bike I'm working on.
Thanks

Park and VAR (last I checked) still made the parts.

Thanks Eric,
Park has a part number, but there is zero availability. There is nothing showing on their website.
Sources for VAR?
United Tool has numbers listed but nothing is in stock.
I have 3-4 of these and could send one on Tuesday.
Lmk atmo.
Richard,
Want to sell one of those? mail me please?
And WTF? How on God's green earth did you end up with 3-4 of those?(!)
Mel Pinto carries VAR. Call Park for the old stuff- if you ask them nicely they'll visually check the old stock.
An adjustable Chadwick and Trefethen reamer will work to ream that head tube. Probably the same one you use on the seat tube. Of course, it won't face the tube, though.
Are all you guys talking about the same thing?
90's era 1.25" steerer tube MTB right?
Did these ever even have a road bike use, and more to the point - why are you using one, Matt?
I guarentee you that Co-Motion or Burly has one as it was fairly common in the MTB and even road tandem world.

I have a 1.25" Threaded steer tube (yes '90s style Fisher evolution size) , if anyone could put it to use I will send it to you for 0. I have no use for it.
I have no idea where or when I aquired it. It's weird how shit just materializes.
In the Fisher world Evolution came before Genesis and the both became Extinct.
Funny.

But you may want to take GAAP up on the offer - should be good for some beer trade!

I have some really weird old parts that mostly came from a guy that went out of business and sold me his leftover parts back in the '70s. Also got some of Joe Bringhelli's castoffs through someone who bought them from him at a flea market. So sorting through the junk pile always holds some surprises.
