    Default Diabetic Pets...

1317739527721.jpgDowner I know. Just wondering if anyone else has to cope with this? We have a wonderful (at least he thinks so) traditional sealpoint siamese that has been on insulin injections since just before he turned six. You get use to it real fast. It's not that bad. The cat (Roo) is now 14 years old and just as hungry as ever. We love him and he trys to travel to the cabin well. Yeah right....

Can't speak for pets, but I'm a four a day man myself. Have had it now for 25 years. I find there's not substitute for excercise in terms of controlling sugar levels, diet comes second.

    I don't know how you'd excercise a cat.

    That's cool..

we feed what he wants and regulate accordingly. You get adjusted to it after a few years.

I rely heavily on feedback from my body. Even then there are times I've ended up in an ambulance or hospitalized because it gets to a point I can't communicate.

You guys must have awesome observence skills to be able to pick up changes in BSL for an animal.
