Re: Glasses
I have no idea what the cool kids wear, but I'm partial to vintage/ toymaker type glasses and unbelievably/ obsessivly particular. Small oval lenses (I'm a patriot at heart, even if I choose subtle ways of expressing it), silver colored frames, preferably riding arms, and no nose pads. They fit under the brazing goggles, are distinctive without being dated, and they are low enough profile that my face defines my face.
For a few years I used a set of vintage frames (1890's) with modern synthetic lenses. I'm pretty hard on glasses- when those turned to back up duty I went with a modern version with a slightly larger lens from Jean Lefont called the Alceste.
On the face:
(I don't have many photos of myself- this one is a non staged one from the site).
I also have a pair of $50 plastic frame/ lens glasses to wear when it is likley I will get hit in the face or to keep in the car. When I was an outdoor professional I wore set of Oakley tortoise Gascans with clear lenses. I use those mostly as eye protection now. They will put RX lenses in just about anything (prescription dependent).
Edit: Good grief- I guess my glasses are ti with 22k white gold plating. I guess that is why they were expensive. I had specific features I wanted, everything else was incidental. My poor wife was amazed I could pick up the most expensive frames in the shop within 2 minutes and not having known what anything sold for. Outsider taste, I suppose.

Moscot - me and the wife have them, retro originals and built to last. Oh, and I have the ones that Johhny Depp wears too.

I was not familiar with Moscot - very nice.... Similar to the Oliver Peoples Vintage line (i.e O'Malley, 505, 1955) which are my absolute favorites....

These are my new ones, fit well and seem to hold up okay.

Re: Glasses
I am partial to glasses based on the old birth control design. Birth control meaning so big black and chunky you are not likely to get laid. I have a pair of Ermanno Scervino that are of that ilk but with a classic Italian design touch. Tilts them towards Marcello Mastroianni a bit more than towards safety glasses.
I like Moscot too. If you've seen the movie Mulholland Drive, you've seen Moscot glasses. I will likely get a pair next go 'round. The style is called Theroux. Chunky!
