Chicken Pot Pie

The Chicken Pot Pie blog post I promised is up. I went into an impassioned rant about home cooking and how important I think it is and I wanted to see what everyone thought. Do you all cook dinner every night? I work late (till 9 or so) 2 nights a week, and those nights I don't cook anything. Mostly every other night of the week i'm cooking. That makes at least 4 and usually 5 nights a week of new stuff. I've gotten pretty good at cooking for the people I cook for that I only have leftovers if it's on purpose. Leftovers are rarely dinner the next night. They usually make it into omlettes or something like that. When it comes to food, I can't get enough. I work in a Kitchen but i'm not a Chef. I think from 9am on "what should I make for dinner tonight?" It happens every day. 1 night every other week I go out to eat. Mostly Vietnamese or a good burger and a beer somewhere, but for my money it doesn't beat doing it myself.

Oh this is perfect, one of the cooking things on my daughter and mines to do list for winter break is to make and freeze a full shelf of personal sized pot pies.

These will be good after a long wet winter ride, I can't wait.
