Default World Series Game Day Good Eats: Steaks and Slaw?

    I'm in a simple pre-historic mood.
This sat. my plan is to fire up the Big Green Egg to 700F and sear some dry aged rib eyes served with Jicama Slaw.
That said I'm open to suggestions.
For dessert I'd like to take advantage of the hot leftover coals.
    Talk to me.

Apple crumble in a dutch oven or Creuset.
Toss in some berries if there’s any fresh ones around.

    Or a punkin pie.

I am getting my all day chef on tomorrow. BGE, stock pots, dough, etc. Gonna ride my bike to the butcher in the a.m. and pick up a duck, veal bones, and belly pork.
    my name is Matt

    Apple Crumble it is. Thanks.
Don't forget me. I'm keen to hear about the duck. I'm hoping you are going to cook it whole.
