Default Any Gentlemen farmers in this place?

Anyone here have access to baby cows? My girlfriend has a thing for them.

I would win HUGE points if I could set up a trip to the country to smooch a baby calf.

I know this is really odd. But I need help making this happen.

Also, if any folks know of good Bed and Breakfast's in DC/MD with friendly owners who could help me set this up. That would work too.

Dwight Schrute: I invented a device, called Burger on the Go. It allows you to obtain six regular sized hamburgers, or twelve sliders, from a horse without killing the animal. George Foreman is still considering it, Sharper Image is still considering it, SkyMall is still considering it, Hammacher Schlemmer is still considering it. Sears said no.

Not too far from DC is the Gita Nagari:
Welcome to Gita Nagari | Gita Nagari Farm

And its cool to visit a Hari Krishna cow protection farm. And then you can ride at Raystown.

Come to Addison VT, I'll set it up.

Not a problem. 1200 dairy cows within 2 miles of our place.

I have about 100 head near Stanton, Tx. And my family rents part of their land near Austin (Cypress Mill, Tx) to a neighbor who ranches and has calves. Are you going to NABHS? I could maybe help you out there. As I recall, the Austin guy's calves maybe pretty old since he births them in the spring. Bet your girlfriend love to see that! They are really the cutest as newborns. Also, I think they rent part their land the race horse breeders. The breeders keep the colts and mares there or once did. That is so awesome to see too.

    Thread drift:

Saying "hello" to cows while out riding on the bike is what finally convinced me about 20 years ago to become a vegetarian.

I'd been thinking about it for a while (saw lots of killing on the farm when I was a kid) then I decided that I couldn't talk to them one day then be willing to eat them the next.

Thanks guys. I should mention that I will be comming from DC. The krishna place looks...interesting.

Disturbed- I wish I could make it up to Vt this summer, but alas, I dont think I will have the time with skool and werk.

Mab, I hear ya on the cows. I dont like eating any prepackaged meat for many of the same reasons. That said, I will eat some VT whitetail.

Andrew, does the girlfriend ride yet?

Find a weekend this spring or summer and we could set up some tasty rides, trips to Disturbed's playground, and cow kissing.

There's a couple herd down the street from us. Belted Galloway mostly. I think the Gaylords own them.

Occasionally they show up in the backyard.

Perhaps a tour of the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center could be arranged? Not that far from you.

John Runyun, formerly of the Eagles, now (R) - New Jersey brought his pot-bellied pig to NBC a few years back with complaints of skin irritation. My sister diagnosed it as being dirty, gave it a bath, and sent it home.

Great pic. That is too funny.

The only riding she does is snowboarding. She got me rock climbing too. But alas, no cycling. :(

    Nahtnoj,

That is an interesting idea with UPenn. I may have to check that out.
