That's a good one. Good luck out there, Steve. Arizona's got way too much going for it to let a few wackos ruin it. I'll also add that Rep Giffords is a handbuilt bike customer. Dave Bohm had pics of her Bohemian up a couple of days ago.

Great post Steve...it's encouraging to hear her condition seems to be improving a little each day. We are praying for the victims and their families and for her to make a full recovery.

This is from a story in today's NYTimes. The night before the assassination attempt, out riding with a friend:

it's harded to get farther south then Arizona......In many ways. The dichotomy in this state {been here going on 36yrs} is very odd - a huge minority pool {1/5th of the state alone is indian Rez} and a hispanic community dating back to the 1500's, yet a ruling class made up largely of the rich elite - very banana republic-esque at times, and very frustrating & saddening at others. Anyway - Go Gabby, Go! If you are gonna get shot in the head, do it a few blocks from the U of A medical campus. One must also think her cycling background & health has led to her toughness. just get better! - Garro.
