Default Framebuilding mill o' the day: west coast style

$1500 buy it now. Wells Index (Made in the USA and still fully supported), power feed on the X, + DRO, even a digital scale on the quill, and looks to be in excellent condition in pictures. Only downside is the #9 B&S taper on the spindle but that ain't that big of a deal. Somebody go snatch it up.

No relation to the seller, etc., etc.

East coast addition. Also still in business and supported. This looks to be a very well equip machine and usually the government auctions are whatever is in the vicinity of the item is included.

FWIW, you can pull the spindle and send it back to Wells for a regrind to R8 if'n the #9 doesn't work for you.

Makes sense, they're pretty close in size. I wouldn't do it though. You can still buy #9 B&S collets and such brand new & cheap. Poor #9. It's an Italian bottom bracket in a PressFit 30 world.

Don, what is the best place to get the collets?

Also, while talking to Park tool about press fit 30, I heard they sold their last french bb taps. Another antique doomed.
