    Default Marquette Silver Solder question

    Anyone able to tell me what the heck I have on my hands here? Going thorough my dads stuff and found a brazing kit consisting of some Marquette 1175 and 1300 solder and no. 4 flux.

    all that the box says is the the numbers are the respective melting points... and that it is cadmium bearing.


    A quick search of the internets tells me nothing.

    Isn't the liquidus temp for 45% Ag with Cd about 1175 degrees?
