Front braze-on derailleur mount dimension?

Hi Guy & Gals--
Has anyone done a braze-on front derailleur mount for a Campagnolo Racing Triple unit on a touring bike and know the height for its location? I don't have the derailleur in hand so can't measure it myself. The bike will use a 48 tooth outer chainring. I'd like to center it in the slot so that a (slightly) larger or smaller chainring could be used in the future.
Ps-- are you measuring from the center of the BB, or from atop the BB shell?
