I went to "wet" shaving with safety razors several years back, and wish I had ben using them from day 1.

I was hesitant, but the learning curve was shorter than I thought. SHARP blades are the best for me, I tried several brands and Voskhod, Kai and Feather. Other "less aggressive" blades that were great for others, "pulled" on my face. Try several brands until you find what works for you. Cheap $ for sampler packs.

Again, blades are way cheaper than those 6 fanged cartridges, and the results are fantastic.

My theory: the multi blade cartridges (as they say) pull the hair away from the skin, and cut -so the hair recedes under the skin. This leads to more ingrown hair issues, and bumps. A good, sharp single cuts flush with the skin, so overall skin health is better.

I buy most from these guys: https://www.maggardrazors.com

Nice small business folks who respond to emails quickly and have treated me great when a few shipping issues (not their fault) happened.

I'm thinking of trying a straight edge razor sometime soon. Anyone here use one?
