I don't know anything about Dr. Richard Freeman apart from what I have read while following the progress of his tribunal. He comes across to me as someone desperate to make an impact and completely out of his depth. I see him as a lone operator, not someone falling on his sword to conceal an organised conspiracy within Team Sky and British Cycling. I am not sure whether sports teams can attract the highest level medical practitioners as team doctors. If you are a leader in sports medicine or orthopaedics or whatever, you would be more likely to have a private practice in London or Zurich or another major centre and have all the sports teams in the world coming to you.

P.S. With regards to how much that tribunal must have cost, I am relieved that I am now retired and no longer pay medical indemnity insurance.
