Moore? I don't think he was trying to spur his horse to get him to rear, I just think he had a poor seat and was losing his balance as he jerked his poor horse's head around with that great big gag bit in it's mouth. Lucky for him the horse was bomb proof.

In movies, I never really see horsemanship except maybe Seabiscuit and Black Stallion
