My wife's brother-in-law is quite the student of African, Eastern European and Caribbean music, among other locales. He does a once-a-week show on WRIR 97.3FM, a community-based low-power FM radio station in Richmond VA, on Fridays between 5-7PM. Pretty great stuff and he's always pulling out something that I've never heard before, let alone imagined that it actually existed. But better than that, he podcasts all of his shows, so you can download them to iTunes (or whatever) and listen to them ad nauseum if that's your want. I usually put them on shuffle when I am redoing cables, wrapping bars, etc. to keep my brain going. Here is his website:

GLOBAL A GO-GO

The links to the podcasts are on there somewhere. Should be a link both for individual shows as well as a subscription link that you can cut and paste into iTunes so new shows download when they become available each week.
