A sad farewell to the queen (sniff). I was four years old when I heard about the roll-out of the first 747 over an AM car radio. I couldn't wait to see one in person. My mom drove me to the Miami airport a few years later when they entered airline service. I couldn't imagine how something so big could fly so gracefully. Truly an amazing piece of engineering.
