    Default T-shirts

Okay, I've had it. I'm not freakishly tall or anything. I am 6'2"/175. I needed new t-shirts. Based on Chase's recommendation, I've been wearing heather grey. My old ones were done, so I ordered a bunch of new ones. Went with American Apparel 50/50 (which in heather grey are actually 90/10) and after the first wash, they are so short they are unwearable under my scrubs, which is what I wear daily. What do those of you taller guys who know a thing or two about t-shirts wear that are long enough to stay tucked in? I hear good things about Lands End and Banana Republic. If I go to a tall do I go Medium or Large?

No idea on sizing, but Banana Republic soft wash tees have been my staple for 5+ years. Really, really good.
Every American Apparel tee I've ever bought has been unwearable within two months. Awful product.

I'm 6'4" with a really long torso and American Apparel work fine provided you don't wash them on anything warmer than Warm and don't dry.....at least for the first number of washes. After you've washed/air dried and succeeded in not making belly shirts out of them, they seem to have some some "memory" and will be somewhat resistant to becoming belly shirts if you happen to dry them. With that said, some of their cotton Tshirts just seem to shrink more than others. The American Apparel 50/25/25 track shirts seem to be the least resistant to shrinking and I get the most use out of them. For actual undershirts, I prefer plain old Calvin Klein 100% cotton ones. They are never too short, 3 to a pack and toss 'em when they get pitted-up.

I'm about your size and been happy with uniqlo v-neck heather t-shirts. They are maybe just a tiny bit thicker than I would wish for if I got everything I ever wanted, but they are fantastic for the price.

American Giant. These are great. I'm not as tall as you so can't speak to that. But they are clearly better than cheap-o options. They feel like an actual article of clothing rather than underwear for my torso. I've got a few t-shirts and a hoodie. Excellent gear. If you decide to order, send me a message and I'll send you a referral so we both save a little cash.

American Apparel Tall Tee L fits me perfect. I'm 6'8" and tubular and I don't show no skin.

You want something pretty amazing? Ice Breaker has a line that has 4% lycra in the baselayer units. I wear a large in these and boy howdy are they nice. Their anatomica line is also made for skinny folks. Don't bother with ANYTHING else they make, it's designed for football players or something.

I have a just-in-time answer since I bought some new shirts yesterday. Uniqlo colored t shirts. I'm 6'2 and around 205, longish torso. The Large fits me fine: not tight and plenty of material to tuck…some might say a little too much, but I prefer a well-tucked-in t shirt to one that creeps up during the day. A t shirt is around $5, cotton poly blend.

So far no issues other than the laundering instructions: cold wash and line dry. Line dry, for me, is a PITA and I'd rather drop it in the dryer on low with the rest of my clothes. I did that with a pair of their under shorts and I'm pretty sure I shrunk 'em a bit. So they mean business when they say "line dry."
