Wide-flange Breezer-style REAR dropouts?

Seems that Firefly uses some wider-than-standard Breezer style rear dropouts for road. The ones I have (from Nova) are all of maybe 3/4" wide, and I'm wanting to use 1" and 7/8" straight chainstays. Yes, I can crimp the ends of the stays where they'll meet the dropout hood, but I was wondering if anyone knows of another source to get wider-hooded steel Breezers.

Ah, yrs , Paragon has them in 1.04", so that's pretty close. I may crimp these builds and go with the Paragons on future builds if I like the straight stay aesthetic.

Instead of crimping, have you thought about scarfing away some metal on the internal of the stay, capping then butting to dropout. A little bit like a seatstay cap only different. Picture a D on the end profile.

This confuses me. We have never used a Breezer style dropout. We do use 1" chain stays though.

Btw, for some carificarion...the Wright Bros were using the hooded style of drop 80 years before Breezer welded them to a MTB. There is a cool Wright Flyer at the Smithsonian American History Museum with many features that have been claimed more recently by others.

For clarity, I do not think Paragon has claimed anything of the sort. Hence Mark's naming his DR2001 hooded dropout their "Wright-Style Dropout" as per the description of the dropout. These are a 1.5" hooded dropout with a replaceable hanger available in a variety of configurations / standards / materials. They also are available in a 1.125" diameter which is their DR2022 Wright-Style Hooded Dropout.

Currently out of stock but from Paragon's Instagram feed/speaking with them, sounds like they are tooling up to make lots more and have them back in stock sometime mid January.

A good majority of my road and mountain bikes use the DR2001's.

I have a lathe and plan on fabricating my own hooded dropouts. They will only have a through hole, however, as I also plan on converting my hubs to accept a fastener (think phil wood track hubs). My frames are for old-school mtb/ townie bikes so single speed and/or belt drive.

Whoa Nellie, calm down. I wasn't accusing anyone at paragon of anything. I am aware Mark calls it a wright style and I think he mentions it's been used by many.
