    Default Not icky at all

    Gross Nasty

Some inspiration on hump day. Any other suggestions for nailing down "the look"?

I don't care what the trends are, both the pants and the jacket are too small here:

I only mention it because the "wearing my little brother's clothes" seems to be a 'look.' Eff that: grown up men should dress like grown up men.

    This is proper:

Clothes that fit properly are always in style.

    Agree on both counts.
The camo thing is huge right now; cargo pants, jackets, etc.
There is what appears to be a sweat shop for a high-end fashion line sewing up camo in the studio across the hall from us. Little old Asian women in front of sewing machines and mountains of camo fabric. Turns out they making bulletproof Kevlar jackets for the Army. Too bad it's for the government. They could be making a killing.

Truth be told, I LOVE camo, since it is practically bred into any good southerner. But once again, in moderation. When too much is too much Exhibit A:

This screams "You can take the Ed Hardy pants away from me, but you can't take the Ed Hardy pants out of me."

WTF is going on here? Wrong on so many levels. This is the clothing of a frumpy woman.

This guy can wear camo as a fashion accessory.

Pretty much everyone else should save it for the woods.

This is the problem with any trend. Tighter and higher is in? Cool, I'll see how high and tight I can make it. Saw a guy running a similar set-up a couple days ago. here's the thing, if your pants are a fucking foot above your shoes when you walk around, you look like an asshole. I really hate to speak in absolutes, esp. when it comes to clothing, but I'll throw that one out there.

There is some middle ground between J.Press and never going out of style, and this. That area is basically the second pic you posted. It'll look good for a while, but eventually it'll need to be replaced, you know?

BUT, wrt the OP's question, I think it varies from person to person. I'm fat and bald, and what works for the average male model in Tumblr doesn't work well for me. I spent a lot of time looking awful to get to the point where I think look OK, as long as it isn't a million degrees outside like it is right now.

Also, try to stay away from anything that could be featured here: Nice try, bro.

Agreed. Fit trumps style every day and twice on Sundays. Also, that nicetrybro site is hilarious.

And on the other end of the spectrum:

Here's a movie that's not even finished filming, and I already hate it.

where to begin?! that is pathetic!!! is this a period flick? 80's maybe?
i hve never, not once, seen those tasseled loafer jobbies look good on anyone or enhance their style/outfit even in the slightest. let alone the white socks! i hve a buddy who is rather large and fancies himself a sharp dresser. he insists on wearing those god awful shoes, and really pushes their, tolerances shall we say?, to the limit w/his pudgy hooves, and loves to think he is all that w/pink socks!! its a mess!! poor leo's tie looks like sumthin from the bargain bin at tj maxx!

"The Wolf of Wall Street.". Scorsese, 80's flick. Should be good, but will be hard to look at.

That suit would look ridiculous even on 1980's Davids Byrne or Bowie.

Nothing looks better than a double breasted coat that's two sizes too big.

I want to see the reaction of the interviewer for whatever job this guy is going for.

"I think I would bring a fresh look and some youthful exuberance to this role."

"No, I think you would bring stupid pants and unnecessarily visible ankles. We'll be in touch."
    my name is Matt
