Bike! and Fork!
It dawned on me that in 5 years of being on VSalon, I don't think I have ever posted a Friday Night Lights
Got some pieces back from the platers on Monday, and polished them up in house. Shop made "Merkens" style stem.

They ended up on this frame. For a tall drink of water (643mm ST c-c). KVA Stainless TT and DT and chopped up lugs and fork crown. Sourced all components, and built the wheels in house. Paint and logo etching by the masterful Todd Eroh. Only new stuff is rubber, spokes, bars and BB.

currently in the fixture is a 650b city bike with hydraulic disc brakes. chopped up Otsuya lugs, and I manually machined the front dropout (all one piece/integrated mount from 4130 plate) with the 4mm offset built in for the rotor.

it's always fun seeing what you all are up to on fridays!
This has been a fun frame for me. Caveat: I have always said NO to stuff like this, but this sounded like a swell idea when i was approached. This is a Dutch style cargo bike for a good pal who has a mobile blade and knife sharpening business. It was a collaboration between us and it was fun having another set of eyes and ears. We used old school methods of string, levels, machinist squares etc to make it straight. The cargo box will be built this week while im away on holiday.
