I realize this is a promo for Drumeo, but it’s also an interesting breakdown of Tom Sawyer and a nice tribute to Neil Peart. Good stuff.

Today’s ride took me past Husky Softball Stadium with a game in progress. They played this song while a Dawg batter stepped into the box. First I laughed, then I wondered how a college kid knows about this song!
I just need some up lift and this is what I keep coming back to.

Grandkids were watching a Minions movie over the weekend that used a remake of ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’ by Tears for Fears. Been listening to a bunch of 80’s stuff this week. Duran Duran. Men Without Hats. etc.
Any chance that remake was by the band Lettuce? The band I'm in has been covering the Lettuce cover of the Tears For Fears tune, and I keep finding myself a bit disappointed in how Lettuce glosses over some of the more piquant harmonic moments of the original.
...fuckin' kids these days... :(
Haha. Who hasn't seen that? It was huge here as well.

I'm quite fond of this Aussie
New stuff from Propagandhi is getting ready to drop on May 2. The teaser track is a banger. I've been blasting it non-stop for the past week. It's like a thrash metal tribute to Bruce Cockburn.
James Brown with The World's Most Dangerous Band live on the Letterman show in 1982:
Sonic Youth Full set from The Basement.
That Sonic Youth set from the basement is so good. I’ve re-listened to that even more often than I have the sets by Radiohead, The White Stripes, The Kills, Beck …

Listening to all four in awe and trying to decide if Roy Clark is the greatest guitar player ever invented.
