I guess you decide what you want to ride once you get to the trail head depending on how your legs feel.

    Brilliant!

Spotted at the coffee shop this morning...I don't know anything about this bike but it looks to be fast as hell.

That'd be me! I sold my truck so I've been on the bike a lot lately. I'm in Woodlawn/Dekum and always go out that way through St. Johns

Have you tracked your speed triple yet? I really want to ride a triumph sometime.

I haven't. So far all the Moto Corsa track days have come up on a day I can't get out there.

Should be good though for July. I test rode a Ducati 959 last weekend......

The craftsmanship and sense of proportion really flips my switch though I think fenders would be an enhancement. Who'd a thunk that a CX500 could be so utterly transformed?

so this finally happened. credit for the execution goes to tyler and jamie.

and nope, the wheel doesn't come close to touching my back. and i figure i'll flip how the wheel is mounted so it leans back instead of forward..then i can wear a backpack too.

Cool. How does the motorcycle handle with that load off the back end?

it felt quite similar to having a tall-ish passenger sitting behind me.
there was a slight handlebar shimmy when making turns through intersections at speeds under 10mph. but i'm thinking that was due to the bike being mounted to the left side of the fender rack and the subsequent deviated center-of-balance. it was to the left so that it and the wheel were evenly spaced from each other laterally, but for the next time i plan on lining up the bike rack dead center and shoving the wheel holder all the way to the side, which should fit fine. i haven't gone over 40mph yet as i only got it set-up last night, but a highway test is planned for this weekend. i think it'll do fine, considering there's other mass-produced racks (2x2 cycles) out there that have more moving parts (less inherently sturdy) than this, but hold the bike at a similar position.
i also want to try and take it over some bumps that will give the opportunity for the front wheel to loose a little traction due to the lever action of how far the bike sits off the back. mainly to see/replicate how it would behave going from smooth to grooved pavement, and vice versa, on a highway that's under construction.

i've got the bug to do some moto touring bad. was up in VT this weekend and saw a ton of bmw's all over the place. something really speaks to me about those bikes, especially when they are filthy with road grime and obviously have a ton of miles under the tires.

the extended riding position on my scrambler is very comfortable, and i'm pretty sure i can conjure up some bags for the back and a nice northeast ride is calling my name.

Was this a challenge? Take one of the ugliest bikes ever made and make it look incredible? That is truly amazing.

My neighbor got his early 70s Triumph running. Pre-75, shifter on the right. That thing's got the best noise. Good looking bike, too. He was grinning like a fool headed off to work this morning.

Not as cool as the above bikes in terms of thoughts and overall ability to craft something but it's been a good year for me so I figure what the hell.

    Very cool.

Assuming you're riding to a destination to go cycling, something like a trail-head or a park, what do you do with your moto gear (helmet, jacket, pants, boots, etc) when you're off riding the bicycle and how do you keep it safe?
