And the riding out there is amazing. Did a long weekend there just a few days ago. Also saw Ray Wylie Hubbard at the Luckenbach Dance Hall. Talk about a pure taste of Texas!

That's why I go, I was there the first weekend of May and a few days after just to ride. Did a couple of trips up Enchanted and covered about 250 miles in 5 days of riding. For me, the only negative is the lack of places to get water north of town.

You've got a good list. Here are a few more to consider in up and coming Burnet area...

    • Peached Tortilla - Asian meets Southern, meets Mexican. Sounds crazy, but it's damned good.
    • Uchiko - It's the child of the sushi place, Uchi. More Japanese farm house. Can be a long wait but squeeze in the bar and get the full menu plus good bar tenders.
    • Picnik - Paleo meets hipster. 'nuf said.

Yep, those rides to the north are "three BIG bottle rides". Fortunately, there are few well documented hose bibs along the way.

Seriously, this is some of the best riding in Texas, IMO.
