Nice visual. Also, nice setback seat post for Brooks et. al. saddles. What is it?

Most of the accessory metal bits on that one are VO. Racks are mine, bags are Ruth Works.

I had a lovely time again at this years Bespoked. I'm still recovering a bit, but here are some fun photos provided by Ben Broomfield, the show photographer.

This was a fun one to show. Most of my "show bikes" are client rigs, and I'm always pleased to show what I've been up to and what I've been putting out the door. This one was a little different as I built it for myself as a travel bike (for a trip that didn't really happen). I don't do much painting, but I try to get in the booth just enough to not forget what I know. Since this one was for me, I sprayed it a nice, dark ceramic with a lighter ceramic detail. For a travel bike in particular it's a great finish since it's so abrasion and corrosion resistant, and the dark color keeps it a little bit of a sleeper when it's locked up in parts unknown. For an accidental "show bike" it's also great- ceramic is incredibly thin and as such very unforgiving as it only magnifies any deficiencies in the metal work. In this case, I'll toot my own horn and say that, for folks looking, it really showed the level of cleanliness and refinement I strive for with all my bikes (and generally exceed on client work).

Much to my surprise and delight, I was humbled with an award for "Outstanding Finish/Paint" by judges that saw the subtlety of a well chosen and applied surface finish over well finished and constructed metal work. Quite the surprise for a subtle, monochromatic paint job I did myself.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the show, and thanks to Rody and Todd for helping me with my silly paint questions and showing me the ropes.

Incidentally, if any one wants a great deal on a fun bike that's a little different then my bread and butter rando's, this one is available, and I'd love to do other similar work.

Hey Eric, how about next year a round the world ticket and swing by the Handmade Bicycle Show Australia on your way to Bristol ? The Aussie show would love to have you call in.

Starting another run of shirts since getting cleared out at Bespoked !
Official ordering will only happen though the PP ordering (or direct confirmed email/ check pre-pay).That gives me an easy record of people, sizes and payments so I don't miss anyone. Pre-order in your size by PayPal-ing $20 first/ $15 each additional with a note on size and cut to "info@winterbicycles.com". (International $30 first/ $15 each additional). For size charts check Belle & Canvas (especially if ordering women's cuts as they run smaller than typical). I can do kids T's for smaller riders, too. Thanks!

*this one is sold* BUT! If you have a Campag wrench and want one, I'm happy to make more. I am trying to track down a couple of BB/ pedal wrenches, but if you have a unit to mail in I'm doing regrinds, heat treat and basic kydex packages.

I'm so envious of 1) Ben Broomfield, who is a superb photographer and 2) his being able to photograph a bicycle show. His photos are awesome, and I am humbled.

(Also... still missing Winter Bicycles... it's been a long time gone from Oregon, Eric!)

This is unbelievable. Beats the corkscrew hands down for the ultimate obsessed-cyclist (speaking as one) present.

I took about a week off due to a minor injury, but I'm back at it. It's always nice after any time away to feel like it's still flowing.
