lots of cabins for sale right off the AT right now near that school you went to. would be pretty funny to see a sailboat in Laurel lake.

Northern New Hampshire? Top third of NH gets away from the sprawl of the bottom 2/3rds, landscape is more intense than anything in Vermont. Lake Winnipesaukee in the middle, some other lakes near the tip top, it's kind of like the Shining up there though...which could be good or bad. It took me 6 hours to get from my home in central VT to Philadelphia last year, norther NH would probably be more like 8? Lake Champlain in VT is awesome though, awesome mountain gaps to ride in the area, bit more 'civilized' than northern NH...
