My morning ear candy today. Pure Pop. This guy deserved much better...if only life worked that way. One of my fave 90's Pop dudes....now largely sunk without a trace. Everyone remembers "Girlfriend"...but there was lots more.

God, thanks for that. And if only everyone remembered "Girlfriend"! In the alternative universe where I'm king it was the record of the year (OK actually Nevermind would have been the best record of '91...)

Sweet's band for those records was so fantastic - Quine, Richard Lloyd, Fred Maher and Lloyd Cole (who used the same band for his records). Decent overlap with the crew from Lou Reed's best '80s records, too.

I was on a plane w/ Dino Jr. going to Brazil. Then went to a festival the following day and they were playing. They blew my ear drums out (not literally).
